Our mission is to provide a safe haven where young people can make lasting, positive changes in their lives while sharpening skills, establishing relationships and realizing their full potential.
Worcester Youth Center is the only no-cost drop-in program in the city for youths ages 14 to 24. There’s a long list of activities in which young people can get involved.
The center’s youth development efforts are rooted in a six-phase social-change theory embedded within four service categories: Health/Wellness, Work Preparation, Academic Support, and Creative Arts & Leadership Development.
Worcester Youth Center’s Annual Reports offer a mix of leaders’ and youths’ personal reflections, worthy expenditures, inspiring art and detailed timelines that chart a quarter-century of success.
WYC benefits greatly from the generosity of the community, whether through volunteering, writing a check, or donating services or other usable assets.
